Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering Awarded by The University of Newcastle, Australia Mechanical Engineering is the broadest of all engineering disciplines. Virtually all industries need mechanical engineers. Mechanical Engineers concern themselves with the design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of mechanical devices, equipment and systems. Examples include power generation, mining, mineral processing, metal and materials production, transport, air conditioning and refrigeration, materials handling and manufacturing – the list is a long one. Wherever there is mechanical equipment and systems, a mechanical engineer is needed to design, manufacture, operate and maintain them. The Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge that will prepare and equip you for the challenges of the new economy, while meeting requirements for widely accepted mechanical engineering qualifications. The award may be conferred with Honours to high achieving students.
