The Certificate in Business Administration is designed for individuals who wish  to equip themselves with comprehensive business knowledge, as well as modern business ideas, systems and techniques. Students will also gain fundamental management knowledge in order to deal effectively with the rapidly changing business environment and organisational operations. This programme will help to prepare students whom have to, or will assume higher levels of responsibilities at work.

At the end of this programme, students will be able to:

• Increase productivity and business efficiency in their areas of work

Upon successful completion of this programme, graduates can advance on to a Diploma in Business Administration and choose from a suite of majors in:

Course Structure

This programme consists of 5 modules, amounting to a total of 135 contact hours for both the full-time and part-time pathways.

• Elements of Economics
• Elements of Marketing
• Fundamentals of Accounting
• Elements of Human Resource Management

The delivery of modules may not follow the sequence as shown and is subject to change.

Duration

The programme is delivered over 3 months for the full-time pathway and 5 months for the part-time pathway.

Assessment and Examination

At the commencement of each module, students will be provided the assessment mode and weightings for the module.  Most modules have several points of assessment, which may include assignments, tests, projects and final examinations.

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements are:

• 2 GCE 'N' Levels passes or equivalent, including English
• NITEC

Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may also apply, but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
