Diploma in InfoComm Technology Awarded by PSB Academy The power of information and communication technologies in this new age economy cannot be overstated. To gain a foothold in this domain, and to help make you a marketable professional, this course is the first step. The Diploma in InfoComm Technology provides students with a strong basic foundation to develop relevant applications for businesses and public organisations. Students will be equipped with the essential knowledge of business processes and technical skills required to harness the power of information and communication technologies. They will also be able to adopt the good practices in Software Engineering to analyse, design, develop and implement effective information systems to support various industries' information needs. Progression Pathway Upon successful completion of this programme, graduates can advance on to a PSB Higher Diploma in Information Technology; followed bya Bachelor of Information Technology degree, awarded by The University of Newcastle, Australia. Advanced standing may be granted, subject to University’s entry requirements. Course Structure This programmes consists of 10 modules, amounting to a total of 450 contact hours for the part-time pathway. Course Outline
The delivery of modules may not follow the sequence as shown and is subject to change. Duration The programme is delivered over 15 months for the part-time pathway. Assessment and Examination At the commencement of each module, students will be provided the assessment mode and weightings for the module. ^Skills Development Fund (SDF): The Skills Development Fund is a subsidy from the Workforce Development Agency (WDA). This is an employer based subsidy and applications for the training grant must be submitted through NTUC, CDAC, Mendaki, or your company.
To be eligible, you must be: 1. Gainfully employed AND 2. A Singaporean or PR
Grant amounts range from 50% to 95% depending on eligibility.
