I.T. Polytechnic Diploma graduates with 2 years of relevant work experience will be exempted from:

Duration

The programme can be completed within a minimum period of 16 and 20 months.

Assessment and Examination

Assessments may include assignments, tests, projects, and final examinations.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements of local students for consideration are:

• Diploma in Information Technology from local polytechnic; or
• PSB Higher Diploma in Information Technology plus a relevant Diploma in Information Technology; or
• Advanced Diploma in Information Technology from other private institutions.

An applicant for a place at the University of Newcastle who does not speak English as a first language must demonstrate that they meet the University's English proficiency requirement. Details of this policy can be found here.

Note that all qualifications must be completed within eight years prior to commencement in order to be considered. Applicants with qualifications that are over eight-years-old, or without the required average grades may also apply but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by The University.
