The ability to implement changes is now becoming a significant competency for many individuals tasked with leading groups and teams. Managers and supervisors today must be proficient in identifying opportunities for changes and know how to bring about changes successfully. To enhance organisational effectiveness they must also be able to ensure sustainability of planned changes.

Course Content

  • Identify opportunities for innovation
    -  Participate in the development of a learning organisation that supports the development of
       individuals within the team and work environment.
    - Analyse workplace performance and processes to identify opportunities for innovation,
       improved work practices and better use of technology
    - Support enterprising behaviours and risk taking within a team and role model enterprising
       behaviours

     
  • Implement changes to work practices
    - Prepare and communicate plan for implementation of change, and reinforce intended
      outcomes and benefits
    - Assign roles and responsibilities to implement change strategies and processes
    - Identify systems and behaviours that may support or limit change processes
    - Work with team members to plan for predictable consequences of change
    - Provide support and resources to support change activities

     
  • Implement continuous improvement in systems and processes
    - Communicate the organisational continuous improvement processes to team members
    - Encourage team members to take responsibility for their participation in the continuous
       improvement processes
    - Monitor performance of teams and individuals to identify opportunities for further improvement

Learning Methodology

The module will be conducted through mini-lectures, interactive activities, role-plays, group discussions and presentations.

Who Should Attend

This programme is targeted at those currently in a management role or aspiring individuals, who need to supervise, engage and lead teams and sub-units. These individuals who include supervisors, assistant managers and team leaders will need to have the knowledge and skills to implement change in their organisations.
