Make it fun
When I was in 9th grade I was terrible at mathematics. I mean truly hopeless. I wouldn't have been able to tell you the difference between integration and long division. In spite of my father repeatedly telling me that
mathematics was the "language of the universe" and that I could “never
succeed without it”, there was the very real possibility that I would never grow up to be a professional geometrist. In a last desperate attempt to
save me from an impending life of sunshine, surfing and other aimless
beach related activities my parents acquired the services of a tutor.

“I Chose to Make it Happen”

In just over a month, I will be leaving PSB Academy and starting out on my journey into the working world. Some of my friends cannot wait to get school over and done with. But a part of me feels rather sad to leave behind so many wonderful memories and awesome experiences. I think life in university can truly be fulfilling and meaningful. It’s all about making choices.
Barely a week into my first school term, I made the decision to join the PSB Academy Student Council. My reasons were nothing too ambitious – I just wanted to make more friends, have more fun and get involved in activities that can be turned into valuable experiences. I must say that my expectations were more than well-met. For a year, I was working on various projects and events with a team of committed and dedicated individuals. It was amazing to be around 12 unique personalities, each with their own special strengths. Through interacting with my fellow councilors and running project after project, I gained many useful skills and experiences which I know will be with me for life. More than that, I also made irreplaceable friends whom I’ve learned so much from.

“I Chose to Make it Happen”

Enrolling into PSB Academy as my first choice wasn’t a mere haphazard decision, in fact it was a
deliberate action which I gave no second thoughts to get into the B.Arts in Communcation Studies
programme about a year and half ago. The timing was also perfect when I found out that PSB
Academy would be delivering this programme for the first time in Singapore. To be part of the pioneer
batch and being offered the same quality of education with the main campus in Perth, Australia further
attributed my decision without any doubts.
