Catching up with old friends over beer was certainly a great thing to do over a weekday evening! The Alumni event saw a gathering of 54 alumni who completed their part-time bachelor degree programmes with PSB Academy.

Held on 27 April at Artery (Red Dot Traffic Building), a place with a relaxing ambience for networking, it was the 3rd event of a series. This time, the attendees were from the various cohorts who graduated from Loughborough University (UK), University of Newcastle (Australia), University of Western Australia and University of Wollongong, Australia.

Our CEO, Dr Steve Lai, and the VP for Student Affairs, Ms Yeo May-Fung had hearty chats with alumni who hailed from the Business and IT, Marketing, and Engineering programmes.

The event included a talk on “The Entrepreneurial Mindset” by Mr Boyd Au, founder of 7Notes Capital Pte Ltd, who shared his life journey experience from a Salvation Army waif to a CEO of listed company, Enzer. According to Mr Au, entrepreneurship might not be for everyone, but one of the key take-aways was to apply the “entrepreneurial spirit” to our lives and workplace. It is never too late to start!

It was encouraging to see some groups staying back to continue their conversation with PSB staff and shared ideas on how to make future events more successful.
