It was a delightful evening of fine wine and networking at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates Guild (SPGG) Clubhouse on 18 November 2011 – our first joint-event with SPGG, where we gathered 37 attendees, consisting of SPGG Members, PSB Academy Alumni and guests, to learn more about wine and its origin.

Profiters International is the proud sponsor of the event. One of its founders, Dezmand Chin, Managing Director, hails from a decade of experience in the complementary backgrounds of fine wine distribution and private wealth/capital assets management. He began the talk by sharing the four essential elements – soils, grapes, weather, and history - which produced the unique characteristics of each wine. Three types of wine were showcased, namely Le Chardonnay de la Chapelle 2009 (White), Le Merlot de la Chapelle 2008 (Red) and Domaine de Saint Dominique 2007 (Red).

The attendees were treated to a spread of canapés and provided with informative handouts to complement the wine tasting session. Added to the experience was the professional team from Profiters who proactively shared their knowledge as they went round the tables.

Each attendee was given a S$10 Profiters’ voucher to purchase wine at special rate during the event. There were no shortage of wine enthusiasts who added some bottles to their own collection.

The night ended with five happy lucky winners who won the book on “Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires” by Adam Khoo, and S$180 worth of spa vouchers.
