Fantastival International Week
Here comes PSB Academy’s annual International Week event!! This year the event is called Fantastival, with the play of the words ‘fantastic’ and ‘festival’. The event was held oer 2 days, from 20th to 22nd March, with the cooperations of all six International Student Asvsociations (ISA), namely, MAPIA, VSA, MSA, KSA, CSA and SAMA. On both days, there was food bazaar with each ISA selling it’s own kind of unique cuisines. For instance, there were beef balls and grilled meat noodle from VSA, dumplings and popiah from CSA, and ayam penyet and Tehbotol from MAPIA. In addition, several cultural booths were set up and dances like MAPIA’s Saman Dance and CSA’s Sword Dance, were performed in the Student Hub to entertain a gathering of students and staffs while they enjoyed the taste of the varieties of food. Before the day of the event, all PSB students and staffs were told and encouraged to wear traditional costumes to school, as there would be ‘Fashion Police’ there to spot those wearing attractive traditional costumes. It was on the 2nd day of the event, 22nd March, that five ‘models’ were specially picked from the audience to parade their traditional costumes. Apart from that, there were many side entertainments and items to make the event more fun and entertaining. These included photo booth, cultural quizes and lucky draw. At the ‘photo booth’, for a fee of $1, students and staffs could create memories by trying out the various unique costumes on display and posing for the camera!
