Student Welfare

Student learning is not just limited to classroom and books!

An important part of student welfare involves a caring environment that provides opportunities for students to enjoy success and recognition, make useful contributions to the life of the school and derive enjoyment from their learning.

Creating positive school climate, good discipline and a vibrant student community where students can participate in extra curricular activities help foster and promote the growth and development of these students. With the good facilities available and many activities organised students are encouraged to take the initiative to be involved.

 Counselling Service

It helps to know that there are trained counsellors around to lend a listening ear and provide advice whenever a student is feeling troubled or bogged down by some personal, emotional, relationship or adjustment issues. Such counselling service may be provided hand-in-hand with our programme administrators and academic staff.

The Counselling Service offers a range of services to help students develop or improve coping skills to address emotional, interpersonal and learning concerns which includes:

  • Individual Counselling
Counselling is a process of helping you explore and express your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. By talking through your concerns, you may deepen your understanding of what is happening, feel a sense of relief and enable you to make positive changes in your life.

  • Disability Support
Students who have been diagnosed with learning, physical, medical or psychiatric difficulties may wish to contact the Counsellor as soon as possible. The Counsellor will meet with you to inform about the types of support available and any adjustments that you may need during the course of your study.

  • Medical Support
If students fall ill or are injured and require hospitalisation, the Counsellor also provides support by conducting hospital visits, providing emotional support for students and family members and following-up with students upon returning to campus.

Any student who needs someone to talk to can always make an appointment at Student Affairs   (read more)

 Student Orientation

It can be a lonely first day of class if you do not know each other well enough. But with structured student orientation session we ensure that new students get acquainted with their classmates fast. At PSB Academy, it is standard procedure for students to attend orientation session to familiarise with the campus and interact with fellow new students before they formally attend the first lesson of their enrolled academic programme.

International students will also be briefed on student pass information (read more).
