The Student Affairs Office was specifically established to help international students settle into their lives in Singapore, and support them throughout their studies at PSB Academy. Preparation Service

Arranging with the student's home country support agents to provide comprehensive information to help students prepare for academic life in Singapore.

Orientation Service

On arrival, you will participate in a comprehensive orientation programme which includes detailed information and advice on practical matters such as accommodation, banking, transport, immigration and visa issues. You will also be introduced to your classmates, the academic and administrative staff of PSB Academy, and led on a tour of the campus and city.

Meeting Your Buddy

You will be assigned a “buddy”, a senior student who will provide you with information and assistance during the first month after orientation. Your buddy can be an invaluable source of guidance, and many new students have formed firm friendships with their buddies throughout their duration of studies and beyond.

Finding Suitable Accommodation

PSB Academy Student Affairs provide affordable and confidential career services to students, to enable them to make informed career choices and undergo a smooth transition to the working world.

• Interview skills and etiquette coaching

• Career readiness workshops
• Small group career guidance and coaching sessions*

*Note: This session includes the use of a profiling tool that assesses your career interest, personality, and suitable work environment types. A minimal fee is payable for the use of the tool.

Student Clubs

To enrich the campus life of our students, Student Affairs, together with the Student Council, organise the following clubs and activities to encourage students’ participation:

Camps & Outings

Camps and day trips to places of interest are organised to help our international students in their integration to Singapore, and provide a platform for new students to interact with other students.

Competitions

Annual in-campus and inter-school sports and talent competitions such as basketball, badminton, street soccer, and PSB Idol are organised to provide our students with an opportunity to showcase their multitude of talents in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, and to widen their social network.

Counselling Service

As PSB Academy, there are a range of counselling services to help students develop and improve coping skills to address emotional, interpersonal and learning concerns. The Counselling Service has professionally trained counsellors who are accustomed to helping people of different backgrounds and cultures with a wide range of personal issues. Some of the issues commonly raised include feelings of academic inadequacy, relationship problems, anxiety, culture shock, depression, family problems, coping with disabilities, coping with medical illness and traumatic events. All information discussed with the counsellors are kept within the limits of confidentiality to your privacy.
