PSB Academy firmly believes that the arts play an important role in the area of learning and education as it stimulates thinking and creativity and broadens the minds. We want our youth today to always be ready for a challenge, confident, bold and not be afraid of expressing themselves.
PSB Academy and one of its partner universities, the University of Western Australia (UWA) have been proud Premier Partners of the Singapore Arts Festival for 2 consecutive years.
Premier Partner of the Singapore Arts Festival 2009
PSB Academy, in partnership with UWA, sponsored ‘Arts on the Move’, an outreach initiative from the Singapore Arts Festival 2009. ‘Arts on the Move’ serves to bring the arts closer to the man-on-the-street as it showcases quality, free performances staged at popular venues across the island with high traffic from Singaporeans and visitors.
‘Arts on the Move’ was a month-long programme from 16 May to 17 Jun 2009. Some highlights of the programme include Baby Charli (Association de Malfaiteurs, France), and Three Blind Mice and UarrangeMe from the local scene.
Premier Partner of the Singapore Arts Festival 2010
PSB Academy and UWA sponsors a set of performances, ‘Eonnagata’. These unique dance pieces unite three renowned artists on a shared path to dance theatre excellence as they draw into the various cultural references to showcase a complex, flamboyant hybrid of dance, theatre and sword dancing.
Resonating to the values of PSB Academy, our very own students have stepped up as volunteers and underwent training to serve as Festival Ambassadors. They will contribute to the Singapore Arts Festival as ushers, guides and help out in the area of ticketing and sales.
