Comments from staff/students:

Tracy Tang (Human Resources)

Chai Ling, Malaysia (BUS Year 2)

Zhang Wei, China (BUS Year 2)

"This is a meaningful and enjoyable event for me. I
enjoyed interacting with the children. At the same time,
I have learnt quite a lot from our tour guide - like how to
tell the gender of a bull-frog."

"It was a good experience for me. The children and
myself have gained a lot of knowledge. Besides, I
discovered another side of Singapore which I never
        expected."

"It was a wonderful experience and I believe that I have
gained more than what I have contributed. I hope I can
attend more of such community events in future."

Suzanne Lau, Malaysia
(BCOMN Year 3)

Kim Igor, Russia
(UOW Year 2)

Kim Younghee, Korea
(BCOM Year 3)

"Interacting with the children at Sunbeam brought me
back to the basics of life. All of us exist to love and most
important of all, we want to be loved. This event made me
to reflect on the many times that I took for granted the
gift of having a family and a home that I can turn to."

"It was challenging to select the most interesting aspects
of my culture and present it ti children in an engaging way.
Nevertheless, the children showed genuine interest and
asked questions. It was a really positive experience for me
because they are all unique and enjoyed my sharing. I
had a great time with them."

"It was my pleasure to share a part of myself with the
children. They are very curious and they listened
attentively. I believe that the lessons we taught them will
stay with them, and will prepare them for the future."

"Despite the rain in the morning, my friends and I still
went ahead with the Walk. It's my first time joining the
Walk for charity, and it was fun indeed!"

"It has been a long time that I had participated in such a
healthy event, and for a good purpose. Furthermore, it is
a good time to bond with colleagues and family."

"It was great to see a good turnout despite the rain,
especially among the PSB Academy students. They
were so enthusiastic and did not even complain. The
positive spirit in doing the Walk for charity and mingling
among those present really brightened the day and
        made the event enjoyable."

"With teamwork, anything is possible. Despite the short
notice, we managed to come up with a stall and made
         reasonable profit for charity."

"We gained a lot from this event by showing that charity is
not only about donating money, but sharing our ideas,
         efforts and time."

"It was quite unnerving to be in the 'hot seat', but after one
gets submerged, it was alright. I had a lot of fun."
