The Endeavour Award by Singapore’s leading private education institution, PSB Academy, aims to help financially disadvantaged individuals realise their full potential and succeed in life. The Award looks beyond academic excellence for important attributes such as discipline, resilience and a sense of social responsibility. The essence of the Award revolves around the idea of “paying-it-forward”, with recipients being groomed to give back to their community.

This distinctive feature of the Award requires the student to have a strong sense of social responsibility to both family and community; the individual will be expected to participate actively in community service activities with the aim of giving back to society. Additionally, the individual will also have to serve as a student ambassador of PSB Academy and as a role model for his or her peers.

The Award does not come with any obligations in the form of bonds or contracts.

Award Details

The Award will cover the full course fees of PSB Academy’s full-time or part-time Diploma courses and recipients will also be given a one-off book allowance of SGD $1,000.

Award eligibility

• Singapore Citizen or PR
• ‘O’ Level, 'N' Level or ITE certificate holders
• Gross Monthly Per Capita Household Income of no more than SGD$1700
• Meet the entry requirements to the diploma programmes applied

Selection will be a two-step process which will involve the initial application that will include a written assessment, and the subsequent screening of short-listed candidates through a panel interview. Candidates will be assessed during the panel interview on traits of perseverance, commitment to learning and community service. These individuals will need to demonstrate success in overcoming challenges in the face of adversity.

Recipients of the Award are expected and will be required to ‘pay-it-forward’ in terms of serving and bettering the community around them, such as assuming inspirational roles for fellow students, being ambassadors for the school and contributing to community outreach even after they graduate.
