Overview

Introduction

This course aims to provide the knowledge, skills and expertise needed to enter management roles within global logistics and supply chain management in our 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year society.

You will be introduced to a range of information management technology tools and analytical methods to support the analysis and design of policy and practice international logistics and the management of the global supply chain. Fuelled by demand from companies like Amazon, computer technology has, for example, changed the way that warehouses operate, making it possible within a few hours of receiving an order to ensure that items are assembled and delivered to a factory, store, business or home.

The Bachelor of Science with Honours in Global Logistics (Top-Up) will provide:

  • the range of relevant knowledge and skills that a graduate needs to enter management employment in global logistics and supply chain management.
  • knowledge of the use of information management technology and analytical methods to support the analysis and design of policy and practice in logistics
  • opportunities to develop skills in the selection and analysis of logistical systems and problem solving
  • an emphasis on problems of international logistics and the management of the global supply chain informed by international standards
  • awareness of professional responsibilities, including an understanding of the associated ethical and legal issues, and the need for continuing professional development
  • opportunities to develop a more general understanding of business management and skills in business information technology and communication
  • To equip students with the required knowledge and skills necessary to secure graduate level employment in the logistics sector.
  • To assist students in their development as logistics professionals

Programme Duration

The programme can be completed within 16-20 months for both the full-time and part-time pathways.

Programme Structure

Students will undertake 14 modules, which will be delivered over four trimesters.
Each academic year is divided into three trimesters commencing March, July and November.

Assessment and Examination

Assessment for this programme may include assignments, tests, projects and final examinations.

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements are:

  • Polytechnic diploma in Supply Chain Management-related fields; OR
  • Completion of Diploma in Business Administration (Supply Chain Management) from PSB Academy; OR
  • Diploma/Advanced diploma from private institutions; OR
  • Applicants who do not meet the above requirements will be assessed on a case by case basis
