Minitab Software Training
At the core of any successful Six Sigma project is a statistical package that is powerful, reliable and easy to use. Minitab is one of the statistical softwares that have been used by many companies in their deployment of Six Sigma. Many are frightened by the complexity of statistical analysis in their quality improvement. To help people overcome this obstacle, we provide various Minitab training programmes to assist engineers, Six Sigma Green Belts, Six Sigma Black Belts and designers to become proficient in this useful tool.
Key Benefits
• Understand and apply DMADV/IDOV DFSS methodology
• Acquire the tools required to design an effective business process and/or a new product
Course Content
• Introduction to Minitab
- Decrease the time required for statistical analysis by navigating Minitab's windows quickly and structuring data properly
- Use and interpret Minitab graphs, including histograms, plots, boxplots, bar charts, interval plots and time series plots
- Assess the normality of your data using graphs and basic statistics, such as measures of centre, spread and confidence intervals
- Customise the graphs by manipulating attributes, such as adding titles and changing the appearance of your text and symbols
• Basic Statistics
- Augment your graphical analysis skills using Minitab's powerful statistical tools
- Determine the appropriate sample size to ensure confidence in analysis results
- Explore potential relationships between variables using correlation, regression and matrix plots
- Using t-tests, ANOVA, and variance tests to show evidence of a process change or improvement
- Make good business decisions based on the practical application of statistics
• Statistical Quality Analysis
- Evaluate measurement systems (Gage R&R, linearity, and stability), process capability analysis, and process stability (variable and attribute control charts)
- Understand hands-on examples that include applications for process improvement and the selection of appropriate estimates of variation (process variation versus tolerance; range method versus standard deviation; within-subgroup, between subgroup, and overall.)
Learning Methodology
This programme will be a hands-on training session conducted in the computer laboratory.
Who Should Attend
Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts, Quality Engineers, Engineers and those who want to learn the data analysis techniques using Minitab.
