“Student Club enables me to go beyond my studies.” – Joenando

Briefly describe what the Student Life at PSB Academy is like for you.

I want to maximise my time in school by attending activities, enjoying them during my time at PSB Academy. After attending several events with Photography Club, I decided to try out for the role of the club’s Vice President as I wanted to be part of something that’s beyond my studies. I was then appointed. Being a Vice President is no easy task but I’m lucky to have a great mentor and senior who teaches and guides me. I’m very lucky to be in this position as it has taught me that student life can be fun. It can be more than just studying.

How have these events you mentioned enriched you?

Photography Club provides me a platform to practise my photography skills at PSB Academy events and have allowed me to improve my photo-taking skills. I also met new friends. One of the things I enjoyed the most in my experience is the Student Leadership Camp. Through the camp, I have learnt and improved my leadership skills.

Our club committee also face numerous difficulties, such as in the process of organising events and writing proposals. But we managed to overcome them by learning to work as a team. I would like to thank my mentor, Jessie, who guides us as a team and enables us to become better individuals.

Share with us the most memorable school event you have experienced.

The most memorable event I have experienced is the time when our club decided to organise the Trinity Photo Walk. We had to provide meals for our 22 attendees, and also provide alternative options for those who have a dietary restriction. However, as a team, we managed to run the event successfully despite the numerous difficulties.
