Class of 2019

School of Business and Management

I wanted career progression and attained a higher fulfilment in life, and I knew I needed to pursue my degree studies. So, after researching the success rates, comparing with other institutions, and friends’ recommendation, I decided to enrol at PSB Academy.

The human resource management degree at Loughborough University was exceptional. The lecturers were experienced, and the teaching style allowed me to learn and understand that what happens, in theory, might not be practical in actuality and why it works that way.

Given that the degree was part-time and I was working full-time, the course allowed me to have a better sense of time management. It has also given me a broader perspective on things, making a positive impact on my life. I love the small classroom environment as it made cross-sharing easier. The lecturers were eager to help us, which shows the amount of pride they take in teaching us – despite this being a part-time role for some of them.

As a Talent Coordinator, I coordinate interviews, assessments, and administrative tasks for onboarding candidates from various job grades, supporting the delivery team to ensure everything is run smoothly, posting Ads, etc. While there may be instances that may not go as planned, the role plays we did in our lessons and various case studies had been helpful in allowing me to know how I can react in such given situations. I am thankful for the committed lecturers who have been really dear and friendly during my learning journey at PSB Academy.
