Class of 2020
Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management, PSB Academy

School of Business and Management

During my Global Business and Management degree course at Gachon University, I was offered the opportunity to go on an exchange programme to complete a 12-month diploma of my choice at PSB Academy.

I chose to study tourism because I wanted to expand my skillset and knowledge beyond my degree major that will put me ahead of my peers and aid me in finding a job in the future. While most of the diploma modules are tourism and hospitality management related, I was also exposed to other business-related modules such as macroeconomics and accounting. What I enjoyed most about the course were the team projects. Through the projects, I have met many friends from different countries and learned more about their culture and customs. They have also helped me in my class whenever I had difficulties understanding the language. Not only do I get to study about my major, but I’ve also learned about Southeast Asian countries’ history, culture, and society.

Though it may have only been a 12-month stint as a student at PSB Academy, I have grown professionally and personally. Currently working in the accounting department at a content marketing company, I have applied some of the skillsets and knowledge that I’ve gained to my current role. I am thankful that PSB Academy has groomed me to be a better version of myself and be ready to take on any challenges.
