Introduction

The Bachelor of Business (in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations) degree is designed for students to employ entrepreneurial, analytical, critical, and creative thinking skills and contribute to diverse and dynamic organisations.

Students majoring in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Employment Relations (ER) will develop the skills to be reflective practitioners. They will be proficient in communicating, applying, and evaluating HRM and ER approaches in both research and real-world workplace scenarios and explain key theoretical frameworks and principles underlying HRM and ER systems, with a focus on ethics, diversity, and equity.

Additionally, they will also learn to evaluate workplace practices using relevant theories, demonstrate strategic understanding of complex environments at various levels, and assess the roles of key parties in the broader regulatory context.

Duration

Full-Time: 24 months^
Part-Time: 36 months^^

Lesson Duration: Average of 3 hours per session. 
Terms: 4 modules in a trimester

Successful completion of PSB Academy:

  • Certificate In Business Management, or
  • Certificate in Business Studies (E-Learning), or

Equivalent qualification that demonstrates preparedness for study.

Entry to Year 2
Successful completion of PSB Academy’s:

  • Diploma in Business Administration, or
  • Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance), or
  • Diploma in Business Administration (Digital Marketing), or
  • Diploma in Business Administration (Human Resource Management), or
  • Diploma in Business Studies (E-Learning), or
  • Diploma in Business Studies (Digital Marketing) (E-Learning), or
  • Diploma in Business Studies (Business Analytics) (E-Learning), or
  • Diploma in Business Studies (Human Resource Management) (E-Learning)

Successful completion of Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s:

Successful completion of Temasek Polytechnic’s:

  • Diploma in Accounting and Finance, or

Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years old

English Language Requirement

  • GCE ‘O’ level English (grade 1 to 6) or equivalent.
  • Students entering the course whose first language is not English, or students whose medium of instruction on their qualifying course was not English, will be required to demonstrate a proficiency in English to IELTS 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each band or an equivalent recognised qualification.
