Student Pass (STP) Matters

Every international student must hold a valid Student’s Pass (STP) to remain in Singapore for their studies. Before entering Singapore, students must obtain an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter, which is required for immigration clearance. 

Below are the key steps to complete your Student’s Pass formalities. Collection of digital STP at ICA Services Centre.

In-Principle Approval (IPA)

You must obtain your IPA before entering Singapore. The IPA is valid for three months and serves as Single-Journey Visa. 

• The IPA allows one-time entry into Singapore. 
• The IPA is not a valid pass to remain in Singapore. 
• You are still required to complete your Student’s Pass formalities after arrival. 
• If you are entering on a Social Visit Pass (SVP), ensure you monitor its validity. 
• To extend your SVP, apply from ICA - E-Service For Extension of Short Term Visit Pass 

Medical Check-up (*If required)

New students (with Meet & Greet service)
An appointed vendor will guide you to complete your medical check-up. Report to the Main Wing Campus and refer to the noticeboard at the gantry for reporting location. 

Progression students
You are required to arrange your own medical check-up. You may contact the Student Success Office at ssostp@psbacademy.edu.sg or visit the Hive Counter 5 for a list of recommended clinics.  

Documents/items to bring:

• Passport 
• Cash for payment 

e-Appointment

New students (with Meet & Greet service)
An appointed vendor will accompany you to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to complete formalities. 

Progression students
You are advised to book an e-appointment before visiting ICA Services Centre. For e-appointment booking, please visit ICA Appointment System.

Student’s Pass Collection

On the day of your appointment, please bring the following:

• Passport 
• One passport-sized photograph (in white background, please see ICA | Photo Guidelines) 
• A Singapore mobile number (capable of receiving SMS) 
• Tenancy agreement (physical or digital copy showing your name and residential address in Singapore) 

Important Notes

• You must hold a valid pass to remain in Singapore; the IPA alone is not sufficient.
