Dion Wong

Class of 2026
School of Business and Management

My journey into finance began during my undergraduate studies, where I developed a strong interest in corporate growth, deal-making, and capital markets. That early curiosity evolved into a deep passion for understanding how businesses are valued, structured, and scaled—making an MBA in Finance a natural progression. While exploring institutions with a strong reputation for applied business education, I chose Coventry University at PSB Academy for its globally recognised curriculum, strategic location, and flexible, work-friendly structure.

The MBA curriculum bridged theory with real-world application, offering immediate insights I could apply to my work in private equity. Topics like corporate finance, strategic investment decision-making, and risk management directly complemented my professional responsibilities, sharpening my ability to evaluate investments from multiple angles. I also had the privilege of learning from inspiring lecturers like Ong Keng Seng Victor, whose practical leadership sessions helped build the confidence I now bring into investor presentations.

Both my professional experience and academic training have taught me that technical skills are just the foundation. Thriving in today’s finance industry demands commercial acumen, adaptability, strategic foresight, and the ability to translate complex data into compelling stories. Staying curious, globally aware, and relationship-focused is what keeps me—and the firm—moving forward.
