Mr. Hong Dexuan holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, where he graduated with First Class Honours.

Since 2012, he held various roles in the Land Transport Authority and Ministry of Transport, including railway policy, planning, design, build and asset management.

Mr. Hong joined SMRT Trains in 2023. As Director of Rolling Stock Engineering, Mr. Hong has successfully implemented Depot 4.0 and the Prognostic Health Monitoring Train projects, which utilise the latest automation, digitalisation and AI technologies to raise the bar for the Singapore MRT/LRT’s system performance and sustainability.

Mr. Hong enjoys working with others and is passionate about grooming the next generation of engineers and leaders to contribute back to Singapore.
