Overview

Introduction

The Certificate in Academic English programme is designed to help you build strong English skills for future studies. Throughout the course, students develop their speaking, writing, reading and listening skills, preparing for diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The programme includes engaging lessons, practical assignments and guided coursework to support academic growth. Lecturers provide step-by-step guidance through research tasks, presentations and academic projects, building confidence and strengthening the ability to communicate effectively in an academic environment.

Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate, students have to complete and pass the modules stipulated with a minimum grade of D for each component (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking)

Academic Requirements

10 years of formal education or equivalent

Minimum Age Requirement:

  • 17 years old

English Language Requirement

  • Certificate in English Proficiency Level 5; OR
  • IELTS 5.5 with no sub-band less than 5.0; OR
  • PSB Academy English Placement Test*

*The PSB Academy English Placement test score determines student’s programme placement.
