For me, pursuing a degree with Coventry University was about taking the next step in my professional development. I wanted to deepen my knowledge, strengthen my professional skills and gain a recognised qualification that could support my career progression.

I first learnt about Coventry University at PSB Academy through online research and recommendations. What attracted me to the programme was its convenient location, flexible study arrangements and relevant course modules. The module exemptions also allowed me to complete my degree within a reasonable timeframe while continuing to work, making it easier to balance my studies with my professional commitments.

I found the Coventry University curriculum well-structured and relevant to the working world. What I appreciated most was the balance between academic knowledge and practical application. The coursework and group projects encouraged me to apply what I had learnt to realistic situations, giving me opportunities to work with others, exchange ideas and approach challenges from different perspectives.

Balancing work and studies also became an important part of my learning experience. Managing both commitments taught me how to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and stay organised. Along the way, I strengthened my problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills. These are skills I continue to draw on in my current working environment, particularly when I need to approach challenges with greater confidence and structure.

Looking back, I do not feel that studying at a private institution in Singapore has put me at a disadvantage. I believe employers look beyond where someone studied and consider their skills, experience, attitude and ability to perform. For me, the Coventry University qualification, together with the practical skills and experience I gained throughout the programme, has given me a strong foundation that I continue to apply in my current role.

Ultimately, my degree was not just about gaining a qualification. It was an opportunity to develop new skills, challenge myself and become more confident in how I approach both work and learning. The experience continues to support me in my current role and has helped me approach challenges with greater confidence and a more structured mindset.
