As an Assistant Engineer at ST Engineering, my day-to-day work involves keeping critical network and communication systems running smoothly through proactive maintenance and technical troubleshooting. While I deal with multiple complex systems on the job, I quickly realized that continuous learning is essential to progress further in the technology industry—especially with my growing interest in IT and cyber security.
Choosing to pursue Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computing Science with Coventry University at PSB Academy was one of the best decisions for my career. Balancing a full-time job with part-time studies is never easy, but PSB Academy offered the flexibility and module exemptions I needed based on my background, allowing me to shorten my study duration without sacrificing my career momentum.
What I appreciate most about the curriculum is how it goes beyond my daily work responsibilities. Through modules covering programming, databases, and data analysis, I’ve gained a much broader, real-world understanding of technology. Plus, interacting with peers from different backgrounds—like Computer Science and Cybersecurity—has given me fresh perspectives and valuable insights.
Studying while working has taught me that growth comes from having the right attitude, stepping out of your comfort zone, and embracing new challenges.
