Student Stories

My journey in Computing Science at Coventry University at PSB Academy has been an opportunity to explore different areas of technology and discover how they come together to solve real-world problems.

Having completed previous computing qualifications, I wanted to deepen my knowledge and challenge myself to learn beyond what I already knew. Through modules such as Algorithms and Data Structures, Human Computer Interaction and Web Development, and Computer Hardware, I have gained a broader understanding of how software, users and computer systems interact. Applying these concepts through coursework and projects has also helped me strengthen my logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

One area that has particularly caught my interest is data. My Big Data lecturer, Dr. Matthew, has made learning especially enjoyable through his engaging teaching style and sense of humour. His ability to explain complex concepts clearly has encouraged me to explore the subject further and appreciate its potential in the wider technology landscape.

As a full-time student, I am focused on building a strong foundation for my future career. Beyond technical knowledge, my studies have taught me the importance of managing deadlines, communicating ideas and adapting to unfamiliar concepts. I look forward to applying these skills in the workplace and continuing to learn as technology evolves.
