Overview

Introduction

The Construction Management degree equips you with the knowledge, technical expertise, and management skills required to succeed in the fast-evolving construction industry. Developed with industry relevance in mind, the programme provides a strong foundation in the principles of construction management while preparing you to address the challenges of modern project delivery.

Throughout the course, you'll explore a broad range of topics, including construction technology, building science, engineering surveying, resource management, project planning, construction law, contractual procedures, and construction finance. You'll also develop an understanding of digital technologies and contemporary industry practices that are transforming the built environment.

By combining technical knowledge with practical management skills, this programme prepares you for careers across the construction sector, equipping you to manage projects effectively, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to the changing demands of the industry.

Duration

Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion of all required modules, students will be awarded the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Construction Management from Coventry University.

Academic Requirements

Entry into Year 1
• Three A2 subjects at grades BBB (excluding General Studies and preferably including at least one subject indicating preparedness to the course such as Mathematics, Science), 
or similar; or
• A BTEC Extended Diploma in an appropriate subject to include further maths or similar; 
or
• Equivalent qualifications to the above which demonstrate preparedness for study. 

Entry into Year 2
Successful completion of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from PSB Academy, a local polytechnic, or other Private Education Institution. Relevant work experience in the built environment is also required. 

Entry into Year 3
Candidates may be eligible to enter with a diploma qualification in a closely related discipline from a local polytechnic or other Private Education Institution. Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by PSB Academy and the Coventry University Link Tutor.

English Language Requirement

  •  English Language at GCE ‘O’ levels at grade C or above; or 
  • IELTS grade 6.0 or equivalent.
