Introduction

This Diploma in Food and Nutrition provides you with core knowledge in food science, human nutrition, biology and chemistry, while developing an ability to apply scientific concepts to food and nutrition-related topics.

Designed for individuals who wish to pursue futher studies in food and nutrition, students will also explore nutrition and the relationship between diet, physical activity and overall wellbeing. By the end of this food and nutrition diploma, you will:

  • Understand how scientific concepts apply to food, health and nutrition
  • Gain hands-on experience with industry standard equipment in our life science and chemistry labs
  • Be ready to pursue a bachelor's degree in the food and nutrition sector

What's Next After Completing This Course

After successfully completing the Diploma in Food and Nutrition, students may progress directly to Year 2 of the Bachelor of Food and Nutrition.

Alternatively, students can take on entry-level or supporting roles in health nutrition, food industry, research or science-related environments while continuing to build experience or qualifications.

  • PSB Academy Foundation Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition; OR
  • Mature candidates (≥ 30 years old with 8 years work experience);
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered as case-by-case basis

Minimum Age Requirement

  • 17 years old

English Language Requirement

  • GCE 'O' level English (grade 1 to 6) ; OR
  • IELTS score of 5.5; OR
  • PSB Academy's Certificate in English Proficiency programme; OR
  • PSB Academy English Proficiency Test; OR
  • An equivalent English language qualification
