As a financial consultant, my role revolves around helping individuals plan their finances, manage risks, and make informed long-term decisions. While strong relationships and deep product knowledge are essential, the ability to analyse data, uncover opportunities and provide advice with solid evidence has become increasingly important—and this degree gave me the tools to do exactly that.
Learning tools such as R, Python, and SAS helped bring the theory to life, enabling me to translate raw data into practical, actionable insights. Whether I’m evaluating market behaviour, assessing portfolio performance, or customer needs, I now bring a sharper, more analytical mindset to my work.
What stood out to me was how the programme connected technical skills back to real business value. It wasn’t just about learning to code or run models — it was about applying those skills to solve real-world problems and support strategic decision-making.
