Massey’s Master of Analytics stood out for several reasons. It focused on the practical application of analytics in business marketing, and the curriculum was structured to ensure that assignments were purposeful, rather than simply focusing on techniques. I wanted an academic journey that differed from my previous content-heavy experience in Singapore, and Massey’s focus on critical thinking, rather than exams, matched my learning style. The programme was also affordable, and with its delivery through PSB Academy in Singapore, it was conveniently accessible for a working professional like me. Massey University provided the ideal combination of academic rigour and practical application, and I valued the opportunity to experience a different education system.
Balancing work and study was challenging, but I was fortunate to have strong support from my superiors, friends, and family. The pandemic lockdown presented an unexpected opportunity to focus on my academic goals, and Massey’s switch to online learning allowed me to make the most of this time. Completing my master’s degree was a personal ambition rather than simply a step towards securing a dream job. My education and work experience have equipped me with the skills to transition from a doer to a strategic thinker. Looking ahead, I aim to contribute to the education sector by sharing my experiences and inspiring future data enthusiasts, whilst remaining open to new career opportunities and learning.
