Alumni Class of 2025
School of Business and Management

My decision to pursue this business degree was driven mainly by personal fulfilment and a desire for lifelong learning. After many years in the workforce, completing a degree had always been something I wanted to achieve, and I saw this as an opportunity to challenge myself and accomplish a long-held goal. At the same time, I recognised that formal education is increasingly important in today’s business environment, as it helps broaden perspectives and enhance one's contribution in the workplace.

My experience at PSB Academy has been both positive and rewarding. The lecturers are supportive and bring practical industry insights into their teaching, making the lessons relevant and easy to apply. The learning environment is also encouraging, and interacting with classmates from different industries has helped me gain valuable perspectives beyond my own field.

One highlight of the programme was working on assignments related to digital transformation and business strategy, including topics such as e-supply chains and cybersecurity. These tasks helped me develop a deeper understanding of how organisations adapt to the digital economy and enabled me to connect theory with real-world workplace applications.

Balancing work, family, and study was one of the biggest challenges I faced. As a working parent, effective time management was essential. The flexibility of the e-learning format allowed me to learn at my own pace and from anywhere, making it easier to manage competing priorities. With careful planning and consistency, I was able to stay on track throughout the programme. I also improved my academic writing skills, particularly in referencing, through continuous practice.

Currently, I work as a Quality Assurance Engineer in the semiconductor and manufacturing industry. The programme has helped me develop a broader business perspective, enabling me to consider not only technical aspects but also strategic impact, risk, and long-term value in decision-making.

For those considering this programme, I would say it is never too late to start. With discipline and commitment, balancing multiple responsibilities is achievable, and the learning journey is both meaningful and rewarding.
