Stay curious, humble, and always find a way to give back
1. You are currently a Network Deployment Engineer at Cloudflare. Can you share what your role involves and what excites you most about working in the fast-paced world of cloud networking?
At Cloudflare, I work as a Network Deployment Engineer, where I help build and expand the physical network infrastructure that powers the internet. My role involves rolling out and upgrading Cloudflare’s global edge network across different locationss. What excites me most is the scale and real-world impact of the work, knowing that what I do directly improves internet speed reliability, and security for millions of people around the world.
2. Looking back at your journey from PSB Academy to Cloudflare, how did your experiences such as your Final Year Project and internship with Bosch prepare you for the challenges in your current role?
My time at Bosch was a real eye-opener, especially in terms of professional standards and the level of rigour required in a large engineering organisation. Meanwhile, my Final Year Project at The University of Newcastle, Australia at PSB Academy pushed me beyond theory and challenged me to build a complete solution from the ground up. Together, these experiences helped bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, equipping me with practical skills that I continue to use in my role at Cloudflare today.
3. You have achieved quite a lot as a student, from winning hackathons to developing an IoT smart energy metering device. Which of these achievements are you most proud of, and why?
I would say the IoT smart energy meter I developed. Hackathons are exciting and fast-paced, but this project required long-term commitment, technical discipline, and perseverance. It went beyond simply completing an academic requirement. It felt like a genuine proof-of-concept that demonstrated how technology can be applied to support sustainability. Seeing the project work successfully was a defining and proud moment for me as an engineer.
4. As the founder and president of the Thai student community, as well as president of the Music Club, what motivated you to step up and take on multiple leadership roles during your studies?
I was motivated by the desire to create a strong sense of belonging. Being an international student can be challenging, so founding the Thai and Lao Student Association was my way of creating a “home away from home.”
With the Music Club, I wanted to provide a creative outlet, especially for students in demanding engineering programmes. I’ve always believed that it’s possible to pursue your career seriously while still building community and maintaining balance in life.
5. What were some of the most valuable lessons you learned from your time as a student leader, and how have those lessons influenced your approach to teamwork and problem-solving today?
One of the most important lessons I learned is that effective leadership is rooted in listening and empathy. When working with student volunteers, you can’t simply give instructions, you need to understand their motivations and concerns. I carry this mindset into my work at Cloudflare today. Whether I’m managing technical deployment or navigating team challenges, clear communication and alignment are always key.
6. You were also known for bringing people together through creativity and innovation. Can you share one fun or unforgettable memory from your time at PSB Academy as a student leader that still makes you smile?
It’s really hard to pick just one because we had so many good times, but what stands out most is how the Music Club became a unifying force on campus. We didn’t just organise our own performances, we supported many other clubs and associations with their events throughout the year. Seeing the Thai and Lao communities come together to share our culture with the wider campus was also incredibly meaningful. Watching people from different backgrounds connect and enjoy themselves is a memory I still cherish.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the lecturers, staff, and fellow students at PSB Academy. Their support laid the foundation for where I am today, and I’m truly grateful for the experience and community that shaped my journey.
