PSB Academy Scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding academic achievements and provide high caliber local and international students with the opportunity to develop their full potential. The scholarships are awarded to qualified students on the basis of academic merit, leadership potential, special talents or other personal characteristics in students.

PSB Academy Sports Excellence Education Scholarship


Selection Criteria for PSB Academy Sports Excellence Education Scholarship (SEES)

  • Eligible for all nationalities, applying for all sport science diplomas
  • Open to applicants who have represented or are currently representing their sport at national level 
  • Applicant’s academic records and sport representation records
  • Demonstrate a strong record and achievements in respective sport

 

Terms & Conditions:

  • Demonstrate exemplary student attributes throughout the course of study at PSB Academy, e.g. strive for best results, attend and participate in classes
  • Complete the programme within the standard timeframe
  • Fulfil a minimum attendance requirement of 75% per module
  • Maintain excellent student conduct throughout the programme
  • Involved and featured in PSB Academy’s publication and/or promotion of the Academy or University and in any advertising campaigns
  • Attend all sport science related, to speak at previews, open houses, events to provide testimonials, if necessary
  • PSB Academy reserves the right to make reasonable changes to this scholarship at any time and will advise valid scholars if this occurs, as and when required

  • Undergraduate students transferring on-campus will not be eligible for the Scholarship.
  • The award recipient is to be involved on any five Corporate Social Responsibility activities initiated by PSB Academy throughout the course of study, and be featured in PSB Academy’s publication and/or promotion of the Academy or University and in any other student recruitment promotion activities.
    • Should award recipient be actively involved with community involvement activities with other external organization throughout the course of study, award recipient is to provide a letter of certification as proof. CSR Committee Chairperson may consider accepting the activity to offset against the number of PSB CSR activities.
    • Award recipient can only offset up to two (2) external activities.
  • The award recipient shall not be entitled for any other PSB promotions, assistance or incentives including but not limited to any progress rebate, funding, referral fees and/or other sign up incentives. 
  • The selection panel reserves the right to terminate the scholarship if:
    • The award recipient is found to have provided false or misleading declaration of any information during the application process;
    • The award recipient is found guilty of a disciplinary offence as defined under the student handbook;
    • The award recipient is found to have contravened the law (minor offences such as parking summons and jaywalking are excluded); or
    • The award recipient’s academic progress is not satisfactory.

Should the award recipient not meet the above Terms & Conditions or decide to withdraw from the University/PSB programme and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, PSB Academy reserve the right to claim immediate repayment of all scholarship monies that had been disbursed.

  • Exhibit leadership qualities
  • Submit Scholarship Statement (250 words or more)
  • Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years’ work experience)
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered as case-by-case basis

Degree Programmes

  • Eligible for Singaporeans who is a SAFRA member
  • Open to all Private and Polytechnic Diploma holders
  • Participation in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) or equivalent
  • Exhibit leadership qualities
  • Submit Scholarship essay (500 words or more)
  • Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years’ work experience)
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered as case-by-case basis

  • Participation in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) or equivalent

  • This scholarship award value will be deducted from the school fee and the balance is to be paid in instalments according to the breakdown of the scholarship award stated in the PSB Academy-Student Contract.
  • The award recipient shall not be entitled for any other PSB promotions, assistance or incentives including but not limited to any progress rebate, funding, referral fees and/or other sign up incentives.
    • Should award recipient be actively involved with community involvement activities with other external organization throughout the course of study, award recipient is to provide a letter of certification as proof. CSR Committee Chairperson may consider accepting the activity to offset against the number of PSB CSR activities.
    • Award recipient can only offset up to two (2) external activities.
  • The award recipient is expected to take on the role of Student Ambassador in representing PSB Academy at information sessions, during official guest visits or other public events throughout the duration of the course.
  • The SISEU member must continue to maintain active union membership for the entire duration of the award recipient’s course.
  • The SISEU member is expected to volunteer at SISEU’s events throughout the duration of the award recipient’s course.
  • The selection panel reserves the right to terminate the scholarship if:
    • The award recipient is found to have provided false or misleading declaration of any information during the application process;
    • The award recipient is found guilty of a disciplinary offence as defined under the student handbook;
    • The award recipient is found to have contravened the law (minor offences such as parking summons and jaywalking are excluded); or
    • The award recipient’s academic progress is not satisfactory.
