Pete Ho

Alumni Class of 2021
School of Business and Management

I chose the Master of Business Administration in Global Business with Coventry University at PSB Academy because the assessment methods fitted me. The course duration and schedule also offered flexibility, which allowed me to take the Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACPL) course amid my master’s degree. I am not the most brilliant academic student; hence research-based assignments would suit me better. In addition, the assignments and Capstone module were more realistic, and they aligned with my role as a Product Manager. The course has undoubtedly contributed to my career advancement as I could apply the knowledge and methodology to my job with ease. The modules have also broadened my perspective and fostered critical thinking, which allowed me to evaluate the logic and validity of information better.

The lecturers were rich with experiences, which I reckon should be the core when conducting MBA classes. While theory and methodology are critical, the experiences in the corporate world will help students gain valuable insight. My CSR lecturer left an impression on me as both of us were from the Telecommunication industry, so some of the examples he raised in class resonated with me.

Not only did I acquire new knowledge, but I had also made new friends and teammates. I have thoroughly enjoyed my learning journey during my one year plus with PSB Academy. Even though we may have come to the end of the programme, I would like to think that the forged friendship will last for a long time.

Juggling work and family can be rather exhausting, but I would like to thank my wife for being the anchor.  She would take care of the household needs so that I could focus on my studies and assignments.

After completing my master’s degree, the pursuit of knowledge will never cease. I would like to embark on my Doctor of Business Administration in 2021. That aside, I would also like to give back to the society through teaching and sharing my experiences.
