I am an educator, and my work goes far beyond teaching in a classroom. Every day, I guide young learners through important stages of their development—supporting not only their academic progress, but also their emotional and social growth. Creating a nurturing and positive learning environment, communicating closely with families, and responding to each child’s unique needs are central to what I do. This role requires patience, empathy, adaptability, and strong communication, and it has shaped the way I see learning as a lifelong process.

While teaching has always been meaningful to me, I knew that further education would be essential in strengthening my professional foundation and broadening my perspective. That was why I decided to pursue my degree with Coventry University at PSB Academy. CU’s strong reputation and practical approach to learning stood out to me, as I wanted a programme that was relevant to real-world applications rather than purely theoretical. I was also keen to deepen my understanding of global business, as I believed it would be valuable for my long-term career plans and future business aspirations.

I first learned about PSB Academy and Coventry University through my husband, who had previously studied there. After comparing different institutions, PSB Academy offered the right balance of quality, flexibility, and support. The convenient location and well-structured course made it possible for me to manage my studies alongside my work commitments.

What I appreciated most about CU’s curriculum was how practical and structured it was. The modules were closely tied to real business scenarios, which encouraged critical thinking and a deeper understanding of how decisions are made in global and organisational contexts. Learning subjects such as marketing, strategy, and organisational behaviour strengthened my analytical skills and helped me see challenges from a broader perspective. These skills have directly influenced how I approach my work today—whether it is communicating more effectively with parents, planning with greater clarity, or adapting to different situations in a dynamic learning environment.

One of the most memorable parts of my learning journey was being taught by inspiring lecturers, especially Dr. John. His lessons were always engaging, and he had a unique ability to explain complex concepts using clear, real-life examples. He encouraged us to think beyond textbooks, which changed the way I approached both my studies and my professional practice.

Studying at a private institution in Singapore has never felt like a disadvantage to me. What truly matters is how well you apply what you have learned and the attitude you bring to your work. My experience at PSB Academy, together with Coventry University, equipped me with practical skills, confidence, and a broader worldview. This educational journey has played a significant role in shaping who I am as an educator today, enabling me to grow continuously and perform more effectively in my professional environment.
