Studying in Singapore has been both a challenge and an adventure. The academic standards are rigorous, and adapting to a fast-paced, meritocratic environment wasn’t easy at first. However, with the support of my lecturers and peers, I adjusted quickly.

The Career Services & Engagement Team played a crucial role in my professional development. They assisted me in refining my resume to meet ATS (Applicant Tracking System) standards, guided me through the job application process, and provided valuable connections with industry professionals, career fairs, and networking events. These experiences not only expanded my professional network but also gave me valuable insights into industry expectations.

Can you describe a particular workshop or session that had a significant impact on your career goals and future aspirations?
The Career Development Workshop was a game-changer for me. The mock interview session boosted my confidence and sharpened my interview skills, while the Unlocking the Hidden Job Market workshop provided practical strategies for job searching in niche industries. These sessions reshaped my approach to career planning, making me more strategic in identifying and pursuing job opportunities.

Absolutely! I highly recommend career coaching to all students. In particular, Ms. Kartika has been an incredible mentor throughout my job search. Her friendly and approachable nature made the process stress-free.

She took the time to understand my goals and helped tailor my resume to meet ATS requirements, making it more compelling to employers. Beyond that, she provided invaluable insights into industry expectations, job search strategies, and interview techniques.

What advice would you give to current students about maximising the benefits of Career Services & Engagement events and activities during their time at the school?
Take full advantage of every opportunity! Attend as many workshops, career fairs, and industry talks as you can. These events provide critical career insights and help you build connections with professionals and potential employers. Engage actively—ask questions, seek feedback, and network. The more involved you are, the better prepared you’ll be for your job search and career progression.
