Introduction

The Master of Nursing (Leadership) programme is designed for students holding a recognised nursing degree to further knowledge and advance clinical skills in the chosen area of professional practice.

Students will have the opportunity to choose between clinical specialisations in relevant hospital settings with prestigious health partners, or opt for non-clinical specialisations to develop advanced knowledge of nursing research along with critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.  

Through this course, they will be able to critically reflect on established theories  and scholarship to contextualise clinical information and generate complex ideas and concepts to inform practice and leadership in a professional nursing context.

Assessment of this programme may include written assignments, online quizzes, literature review, proposals and quality improvement projects.

Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion of all required modules, students will be awarded the Master of Nursing (Leadership) from La Trobe University. The Master's Degree awarded will be the same as that to the on-campus graduates.

Local Qualifications

Minimum Age Requirements:

  • 21 years old

Academic Requirements:

  • Applicants must have successfully completed a recognised degree in nursing from a La Trobe approved or recognised nursing university.
  • Applicants are also required to have a current registration with the Singapore Nursing Board.

All applications are subject to approval by La Trobe University.

English Language Requirement

Language:
6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.

Note: If the applicant has completed an Australian Bachelor of Nursing, they will be exempted from English language requirements. English language test scores must be less than 2 years old at the date of application to the La Trobe University.
