In 2020, hawker culture in Singapore was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Some of Singapore’s most renowned hawker centres include ABC Brickworks Food Centre, Chomp Chomp Food Centre, and Old Airport Road Food Centre. One of the most famous hawkers at ABC Brickworks Food Centre is Jason Khaw, who was formerly the British High Commissioner’s personal chef. There’s also Chomp Chomp Satay, at Chomp Chomp Food Centre, which has a Michelin Plate mention.
3. See Singapore’s Flora & Fauna Up Close
Singapore might be a city-state but it’s also among the world’s greenest cities. When it comes to educational entertainment, animal and nature lovers have an impressive range of options to select from. Choose between spending a day at the Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park or the S.E.A. Aquarium and relish the experience of seeing wildlife up close and personal.
