F&B Digital Marketing Assistance Scheme


This is an initiative by PSB Academy, and subsidised by Enterprise Singapore to help small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the food & beverage (F&B) sector learn the best digital marketing practices to drive their businesses and overcome the challenges posed by the current Covid-19 situation.

There are two major components for this initiative:

  1. Enterprise Singapore Funding Support:

      a. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Registered and operating in Singapore
  • Provide SSIC code, UEN and ACRA business profile
  • Group annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million or group employment size of not more than 200 employees
  • Any businesses serving food and beverages (F&B) to customers
  • Funding valid from 18 September to 31 December 2020

      b. Benefits:

  • Send up to 2 employees for the course
  • Subsidised course fee payable per employee: S$272.00 (inclusive of GST)1
  • One-time S$500 bonus after completing the programme and one digital marketing campaign2

  1. PSB Academy Funding Support:

      a. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Eligible for Enterprise Singapore Funding Support
  • Course fees must be fully paid before start of course
  • Employee must complete 100% attendance of the course
  • Funding valid from 18 September to 31 December 2020

  • Full reimbursement of paid subsidised course fees by PSB Academy3

1 For organisations to be eligible for subsidised course fees by Enterprise Singapore, their employee(s) need to complete 75% attendance of the course. The original course fee is S$1,712.00 per employee.

2 Organisations need to submit one Facebook/Instagram/Google ad copy, campaign performance report and invoice within 31 days from the course completion. Each organisation can only claim this bonus once.

SkillsFuture Study Awards


  • Who are eligible and what are the benefits?

    The SkillsFuture Study Award is a monetary award to help Singaporeans equip themselves with the skills needed to benefit from quality jobs created by the Singapore economy.

    Eligible Singaporeans will receive $5,000 to defray their out-of-pocket expenses associated with the course that they are taking. It can be used on top of existing Government course fee subsidies.

     The SkillsFuture Study Awards are administered by different lead government agencies overseeing the respective sectors below:

Application Process (For IMDA - Infocomm Media Development Authority)

Step 1: Submit course application to PSB Academy and pay the course fee. After this, please collect the letter of acceptance, proof of payment and course outline.

Step 2: Apply for the Award through the SkillsFuture portal. Submit the following documents:

  1. A copy of your resume/CV
  2. Scanned copy of letter of acceptance/matriculation from PSB Academy
  3. Scanned copy of proof of payment such as past course invoices/receipts
  4. Course curriculum/outline on selected course of study
  5. Certifications/transcripts and portfolio (if any)
  6. Details of the sponsorships/scholarships/subsidies which you are receiving for the course

Step 3: All applicants need to check the status of their application via the SkillsFuture portal1. IMDA’s evaluation of applications will take at least 8 weeks after the application closing date. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.

Step 4: Successful applicants will receive a letter of the award which should be signed and returned to IMDA. The SkillsFuture Study Award for the Media/ICT sector adopts a two-tier disbursement arrangement. The first tranche of $1,000 will be disbursed upon evidence that the awardee has commenced the course. The second tranche of $4,000 will be disbursed upon evidence that the awardee has completed the course satisfactorily.

Application Process (For STB - Singapore Tourism Board & Enterprise Singapore)

Step 1: Submit course application to PSB Academy and pay the course fee.

Step 2: Apply for the Award through the SkillsFuture portal. Submit the following documents:

  2. Copy of your coloured NRIC (front and back)/Resume/ Employment History (For ESG)
  3. Proof of course fee payment
  4. Letter of course acceptance

Step 3: All applicants need to check the status of their application via the SkillsFuture portal2. ESG/STB will contact all applicants within 6 to 8 weeks after the closing date of each application window.

Step 4: Successful applicants will receive a letter of the award which should be signed and returned to ESG/STG within 10 working days from the date of the letter. The full sum of S$5,000 will be disbursed within 2-3 months after the award recipient completes the course3 and submits the required claim disbursement documents as indicated in the letter.

NTUC UTAP


NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year1 when they sign up for courses supported under Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).

 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Paid-up union membership before course commenced, throughout the whole course duration and at the point of claim
  2. Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period
  3. The course must not be fully funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
  4. Applicants must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s) if there are any
  5. UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course completion

IRAS Course Fees Relief


Eligibility Criteria

Course Fees Relief is given to encourage individuals to continuously upgrade their skills and enhance employability. Applicants can claim the actual course fees incurred by themselves up to a maximum of S$5,500 each year.

Any amount paid or reimbursed by their employers or any other organisations cannot be claimed. Areas claimable include:

  • Aptitude test fees (for computer courses)
  • Examination fees
  • Registration or enrolment fees
  • Tuition fees

For courses that span several years and where full payment has been made upfront, applicants may divide the course fees paid equally over the years.

  

Courses

Applicants can claim relief for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2020 on the course fees incurred in 2019 for

  • Any course, seminar or conference they attended in 2019 leading to an approved academic, professional or vocation qualification
  • Any course, seminar or conference they attended in 2019 that is relevant to their current employment, trade, business, profession or vocation
  • Any course, seminar or conference that they completed between 1 Jan 2017 to 31 Dec 2018 which is relevant to their new employment, trade, business, profession or vocation in 2019

Courses Not Eligible For Relief

  • Courses, seminars or conferences for recreational or leisure purposes;
  • Courses, seminars and conferences for general skills or knowledge (e.g. Internet surfing course, social media skills, basic website building skills and Microsoft Office skills); and
  • Courses, seminars and conferences to acquire skills or knowledge for a hobby instead of your profession (e.g. photography, language and sports courses).
  • Polytechnic/University courses if graduates have never exercised any employment or carried on any trade, profession or vocation previously.

Application Process

Step 1: Login to myTax Portal and file your income tax return.

Step 2: Add in course fee details under Deductions, Reliefs and Parenthood Tax Rebate in your income tax form.
