F&B Digital Marketing Assistance Scheme


This is an initiative supported by Enterprise Singapore to help small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the food & beverage (F&B) sector learn the best digital marketing practices to drive their businesses and overcome the challenges posed by the current Covid-19 situation.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Registered and operating in Singapore
  • Provide SSIC code, UEN and ACRA business profile
  • Group annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million or group employment size of not more than 200 employees
  • Any businesses serving food and beverages (F&B) to customers

 Benefits:

  • Send up to 2 employees for the course
  • Subsidised course fees1
  • One-time S$500 bonus after completing one digital marketing campaign1

 1 For organisations to be eligible for subsidised course fees, their employees need to complete 75% attendance of the course.

Organisations need to submit one Facebook/Instagram/Google campaign performance report and ad purchase invoice within 30 days from the course completion. Each organisation can only claim this bonus once.

SkillsFuture Study Awards


  • Who are eligible and what are the benefits?

    The SkillsFuture Study Award is a monetary award to help Singaporeans equip themselves with the skills needed to benefit from quality jobs created by the Singapore economy.

    Eligible Singaporeans will receive $5,000 to defray their out-of-pocket expenses associated with the course that they are taking. It can be used on top of existing Government course fee subsidies.

     The SkillsFuture Study Awards are administered by different lead government agencies overseeing the respective sectors below:

  • Attractions - Singapore Tourism Board (STB)

     

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Singaporeans with at least 2 years of work experience in the Attractions industry
    • Committed to deepening skills in the Attractions industry
    • Courses should be relevant to the needs of the Attractions industry and to the applicant's current/future job function
    • Track record of contributing to the learning or training of self and/or others

Application Process

Step 1: Submit course application to PSB Academy and pay the course fee.

Step 2: Apply for the Award through the SkillsFuture portal. Submit the following documents to STB: 

  1. Attractions Annex A / Hotel Annex A / MICE Annex A
  2. Proof of course fee payment
  3. Letter of course acceptance

Step 3: All applicants need to check the status of their application via the SkillsFuture portal1. STB will contact all applicants within 6 to 8 weeks after the closing date of each application window.

Step 4: Successful applicants will receive a letter of the award which should be signed and returned to STB within 10 working days from the date of the letter. The full sum of S$5,000 will be disbursed within 2-3 months after the award recipient completes the course2 and submits the required claim disbursement documents as indicated in the letter.

NTUC UTAP


NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year1 when they sign up for courses supported under Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).

 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Paid-up union membership before course commenced, throughout the whole course duration and at the point of claim
  2. Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period
  3. The course must not be fully funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
  4. Applicants must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s) if there are any
  5. UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course completion

IRAS Course Fees Relief


Eligibility Criteria

Course Fees Relief is given to encourage individuals to continuously upgrade their skills and enhance employability. Applicants can claim the actual course fees incurred by themselves up to a maximum of S$5,500 each year.

Any amount paid or reimbursed by their employers or any other organisations cannot be claimed. Areas claimable include:

  • Aptitude test fees (for computer courses)
  • Examination fees
  • Registration or enrolment fees
  • Tuition fees

For courses that span several years and where full payment has been made upfront, applicants may divide the course fees paid equally over the years.

Applicants can claim relief for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2020 on the course fees incurred in 2019 for

  • Any course, seminar or conference they attended in 2019 leading to an approved academic, professional or vocation qualification
  • Any course, seminar or conference they attended in 2019 that is relevant to their current employment, trade, business, profession or vocation
  • Any course, seminar or conference that they completed between 1 Jan 2017 to 31 Dec 2018 which is relevant to their new employment, trade, business, profession or vocation in 2019

 

Application Process

Step 1: Login to myTax Portal and file your income tax return.

Step 2: Add in course fee details under Deductions, Reliefs and Parenthood Tax Rebate in your income tax form.
